About Dream Interpretation Therapy

Gain the wisdom from your dreams through accurate dream interpretation and find health and happiness in your life today!

Dream Interpretation Therapy is the process of using dreams and dream interpretation as a means of therapy for self-improvement. Dreams reveal our innermost feelings, hopes and fears. Interpreting a dream gives you clearer insight into yourself and your life.

It helps you to understand why your life is the way it is, and reveals the unconscious beliefs you hold, that are powerfully creating your life experiences.

When you discover unconscious beliefs that have been complicating your life in a negative way, you can begin to change those beliefs to bring about positive changes into your life.

Our worries, anxieties, relationship troubles and self doubts all come through our dreams at night. These dreams are used as a way for our sub conscious to be able to deal with all of these issues, in order to work through them, and ultimately dissolve them. Many people pay no attention to dreams or see them as nothing more than mere entertainment.

Those of us, who use dream interpretation as a means of gaining self awareness, know what a powerful tool they are for promoting positive changes in our lives!

  • Dreams can help you identify behaviours, attitudes, emotions and beliefs that are affecting your life at present, understand how they are influencing the actions you take in life, and show you better ways of dealing with situations.
  • Dream interpretation can help you to work through distressing issues in your life, conflicts in your relationships and unresolved dilemmas.
  • Dreams can help you realize long held childhood beliefs that hinder you in your present life as an adult.

If you have ever experienced a lack of awareness or understanding of your own insecurities, used avoidance and escape instead of dealing with your problems or felt anxiety about expressing your own potential, then dream interpretation is right for you.

Dream interpretation can deepen our understanding of our own unique coping skills and give us insights into our unconscious belief patterns.

Dreams will often highlight for us, solutions and alternative options that we might not normally be aware of. Through dream analysis and interpretation you can use those insights to get to the root of a problem or situation so you can learn how to be happier and function better!

Vanessa Jeakins - Dream Interpretation Therapist

My goal is change the way people look at dreams and make dream interpretation accessible to everyone. You don’t need to have studied Freud to understand your dreams and you don’t need to be a spiritual guru either. Dreams are available to every single person, to learn about themselves and ultimately to help them learn how to lead more fulfilling and happier lives.

The emphasis in my dream interpretation therapy sessions is on teaching my clients to learn how to work with their dreams on their own and use dream interpretation as a means of self-therapy throughout their lives.

The most important thing in dream interpretation therapy is to feel open and comfortable, as you realize new ways of seeing yourself and your life. If you can do this, you will learn to think with an intuitive mind and learn how to turn those valuable insights into positive self expression.

How we can have our dreams interpreted for FREE by learning to become our own dream interpreters!

Determine what type of dream you have, by learning about the 5 Different Types of Dreams in this article.

If you believe that this is a dream that indeed should be looked into further for an in depth interpretation, follow these steps:

How to get your Dreams Interpreted:

Write your dream down:

As soon as you awaken write down any and all events, feelings, situations and symbols that occurred in your dream. Do this before getting out of bed or moving too much if possible. Everything you do from the moment you awake will take you farther and farther from the dream. Be as still as you can, so you don't ‘jostle' the dream out of your mind, so to speak.

Once you've made your list of symbols in your dream, go through each one to see if you can relate it to anything that has happened in the past few days. If you can, this dream may fall under the category of a 'Regular' dream (see article on the Different Types of Dreams above), which is a dream that is basically made up of events from our recent past and that usually do not contain any significant messages.

Cancel out these symbols as you go, perhaps crossing them out in pencil as a visual aid at first. See how many symbols can be connected to events and situations that came up during your recent waking life.

You can Learn about Helpful Tips for Better Dream Recall in this article.

Things to ask yourself:

  • What symbols were in my dream? How did I feel towards those symbols?
  • What events were happening? How did I feel during these events?
  • What is the overall feeling or thought I have upon waking from the dream?
  • How could I sum up what happened in my dream in one sentence?
  • What was the setting of my dream? Location? Season? Time of day? Etc.

Break down your Dream Symbols:

Look further into the events and symbols in your dream by examining what you have written down, piece by piece. Break things down until it feels right to you. Play the word association or free association game and figure out what your symbols were meant to convey to you.

  • Think about popular sayings, analogies, metaphors, similes, clichés etc to relate the symbols to your life so you can connect them to the meaning.
  • Pay attention to how you feel in the dream. Are you fearful, peaceful, happy? Use adjectives to describe as much as possible.
  • Pay attention to your surroundings. Was it night or day in your dream? What season was it? Where did thedream take place? What was the weather like?
  • Do any of the symbols have special meaning to you?
  • Were there any specific themes that seemed to be repeated in your dream(s)?
  • Pay attention to your intuition. If you feel that the cat represents yourself in the dream, it probably does.
  • Pay attention to any symbols that are repeated in your dream.
  • Pull out what seems the most important to you – what can you feel you need to pay special attention to.
  • Is the dream pointing towards some important situation or event in your waking life at this time?
